For the sixth time, tridimage designs have been recognized by the Pentawards jury as among the best of the year globally. At the gala held in Barcelona on September 23rd, the packaging design for Paraguay’s Gond Wana mineral water was awarded a bronze Pentawards.

This year, the 11th edition of the Pentawards, a worldwide competition dedicated exclusively to packaging design, was held at the Hotel W in Barcelona. The gala ceremony was attended by 275 packaging design professionals from around the world.

Known as the Oscar for packaging design, these awards were created in 2007 to recognize the best designs internationally. A decade later they have become an indisputable reference. As it likes to remind its founders, Jean Jacques and Brigitte Evrard, the jury rewards the projects based on creativity, brand impact and quality of the works presented.

On this occasion, a total of 12 experts, professionals from prestigious international agencies and brands have selected the best designs between 2013 works from the 5 continents and 54 countries.

TASCHEN, known worldwide for the quality of its art books, will publish a fifth volume on the Pentawards in 2018. Following the resounding success of the first four books entitled “The Package Design Book”, this fifth edition, which will include the winners of the Pentawards 2017 and 2018 awards, is a recognition of the quality of the international competition.
